When I first heard what nonprofit we would be working with this semester, I was nervous. I had never been around anyone with special needs for very much time and I had no idea what to expect. After the Taylor’s came to visit our class, my heart was immediately softened for the families at High Point Village. The first time I walked into High Point I understood exactly why people that help with High Point do what they do-and why they love it so much. The students that were in the four cooking classes that I helped stole my heart from the first day. Everyone I met was so genuinely nice and happy to be there. Although the semester is over, I am happy to say that I will be taking away such great memories of High Point Village and that my relationship with High Point will not end here.
