On the evening of December 19, 2013, villagers who participated in the Cotillion class were cordially invited to an elegant formal dinner and dance. Girls were given a long stem red rose and the boys were given a boutonniere as they entered. The dinner was a four- course meal that included chicken tenders, mashed potatoes with cream gravy, green beans, salad, rolls, and cheese cake. It was a magical evening where the Villagers were waited on and served by members of our staff and volunteers. Villagers showed off their table manners and place setting skills as they ate and then danced the night away where all the lovely ladies got to dance with each gentleman. Bill Caldwell emceed the night. At graduation, the Villagers were given a manners book. The girls received Manners Made Easy: For the Family written by June Hines Moore. The boys received George Washington’s Rules of Civility and Decent Behavior.
