High Point Village is committed to helping those with special needs who need assistance in helping themselves. Looking at the big picture, “Community Involvement” creates a purpose for making a difference by using resources of talents, volunteers and financial support offered by the Lubbock Community. A community involved that is to be a source of pride for years into the future.
The first phase for High Point Village has been developing the Enrichment Center that will impact the lives of children, women and men with special needs. The Enrichment Center offers unique, “high-quality” programs designed to proved education, parent support, social opportunities, jobs and vocational skills for those with special needs.
The second phase is to develop a RESIDENTIAL LIVING COMMUNITY, with a home-like atmosphere. Possibilities for this community might include work opportunities, several residences, an office complex, a multipurpose activity building, an interdenominational chapel, and other facilities as deemed necessary.
Some individuals may be employed in off-campus jobs, while others work in a variety of ways on campus. Each person should feel they contribute to the community to the best of their ability. Our goal is to provide a safe place where our Villagers can live independently as possible, with friends, peers and with whatever support they need to live the lives they desire and deserve.
High Point Village is building a firm foundation, for a bold vision, that is credible for all those who give support through volunteering or financial means.
