2013 After-School Class Schedule
Third Session Beginning April 22
6 Weeks Per Session
Monday
4:30-5:45 p.m. – Cooking Club 202
Students will take on a more advanced approach to food preparation and safety. Instructors: Becky Critz and Sharon Donnell. Price: $30.
4:30-5:30 p.m. – Social and Games Hour
Students will participate in an hour of fun with friends while playing games like Bingo, Wii, and various board games. Each week students will practice appropriate social skills and learn new games to play with their peers.
Instructors: High Point Village Staff. Price: $10.
5:30-6:30 p.m. – Arts and Crafts
This class teaches hand-eye coordination, use of colors, and dexterity. Students are allowed to keep some of the projects they make. The class provides a creative outlet. Instructor: Juli Springer. Price: $20.
Tuesday
4:30-5:30 p.m. – Recreational Sports and Fitness
Students will be able to work together in team sports as well as receiving healthy physical activities. Instructors: High Point Village Staff & Volunteers. Price: $15.
4:30-5:30 p.m. – Characters of The Bible
Students will explore the positive traits of biblical characters. Instructor: Sharon Donnell. Price: $15.
5:30-6:30 p.m. – Music and Movement
Participants will learn the basic fundamentals of music. Students will work with one another to explore rhythm, pitch, and harmony. Instructor: Kyle Dungan. Price: $20.
5:30-6:30 p.m. – Ceramics
Students will express their artistic creativity by creating and decorating various ceramics. Instructor: Lori Fleming. Price: $30.
Wednesday
4:30-5:30 p.m. – Zumba (Now Open to Ages 7 and up!)
Participants in this class will learn the importance of physical education in a new and creative way through dance aerobics! Instructor: Bianca Hernandez. Price: $15
Thursday
4:30-5:30 p.m. – Drama
Participants will work together to create and perform a play. Students will gain the ability to express themselves, build confidence and explore their imagination.
Instructors: Jeff Shirey & Melissa Rice. Price: $20
4:30-5:30 p.m. – Reading Club 1
Students will learn the fundamentals of book reading and comprehension.
Instructors: Sharon Donnell and Becky Critz. Price: $15

Students will learn basic food preparation safety and practice recipes they can take home. Instructor: Hillary Pierce. Price: $30
5:30-6:30 p.m. – Reading Club 2
