Our agency partners are other nonprofit organizations and agencies with like-minded goals that partner with us to enrich the lives of special needs individuals in Lubbock. These agencies also participate in High Point Village’s programs and events.

Friends of God Church exists to accommodate individuals with special needs of all kinds. It currently meets at Bacon Heights Baptist Church , a facility that accommodates those with special needs. But not only will individuals with special needs and their families find a welcoming environment for worship and discipleship, Friends of God’s doors are open to anyone seeking hope for the future.

The Burkhart Center provides services for individuals with autism spectrum disorders, their families, and the professionals who work with them to improve their quality of life. The Center provides a variety of resources in the areas of adult transitions, technical assistance in implementing evidence-based interventions for children, and community outreach services including a College Social Support Network, the Collin Burkhart Transition Academy, Graduate Certificates in Autism, the South Plains Autism Network (SPAN) collaboration and support, The Annual Hands for Hope Autism Walk, Parents’ Night Out, and Family Fun Days.

Special Olympics Texas-The mission of Special Olympics Texas is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

South Plains Autism Network (SPAN) – Sherry Sancibrian

SPAN was formed to provide resources and support to families of children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders. SPAN provides a wonderful opportunity for families to meet other families coping with autism.
SPAN meets on the Texas Tech Campus at 6:30 p.m. on the 4th Tuesday of each month during the school year. Childcare is provided.
A loaner library consisting of educational and inspirational books and videos is available to parents.
